Crows Feet

Crow’s feet are caused by repeated contraction of the orbicularis oculi muscle which occupies the area around our eyes. Wrinkles relaxers reduce the contraction of this muscle, softening the appearance of deeper wrinkles and eradicating fine lines.  Lower crow’s feet may be due to volume loss in the cheeks in which case dermal fillers to enhance the cheeks may be a more appropriate treatment.

Forehead Lines

Forehead lines occur due to contraction of the frontalis muscle which occurs when we raise our eyebrows. Wrinkle relaxers reduce the contraction of this muscle softening the appearance of the wrinkles while still maintaining natural movement.

Frown Lines

Frown lines between the eyebrows are due to contraction of the corrugator and procerus muscles. This contraction can occur when we are angry or concentrating or sometimes for no good reason at all, purely out of habit. Over time deep frown creases can develop, making you look permanently grumpy even when you are not.

The frown line is the most commonly treated area of the face at Vice Aesthetics. In many patients results tend to last longer with each subsequent treatment as they break the habit of frowning unnecessarily.

Brow Lifts

Wrinkle relaxers can be used effectively for brow lifts. Saggy eyelids and hooded eyes can be subtly elevated by injecting wrinkle relaxers into the muscle responsible for pulling down the eyebrow. Relaxing this muscle allows the forehead muscles to elevate, opening up the eyes and creating the effect of a ’brow lift’ to diminish the ’tired eye’ appearance and provide a more refreshed “awake” appearance. Not all candidates are suitable for the procedure however it is a much less invasive alternative that is worth a try before proceeding to surgical procedures.

Face Slimming

Face Slimming can occur by injecting the masseter muscles of the jaw wrinkle relaxers can be used to treat bruxism and slim the face, enhancing the appearance of the cheekbones.

The masseters are the muscles along the jaw that enable us to clench and grind our teeth. These muscles can increase in size as we age adding bulkiness to the jaw and creating the appearance of a wider, squarer shaped face.

Injecting wrinkle relaxers into the masseter muscles causes the muscle to significantly reduce in size, slimming the lower face, creating an aesthetically pleasing angle of the jaw and enhancing the cheekbones. There is minimal swelling and redness at the time of injection and full effects are usually evident within 6 weeks with results lasting several months.

Neck bands

Neck Bands

Neck bands are areas of increased muscle tension within the muscles of the neck and can also appear when smiling ruining many an otherwise lovely photo! These can be easily reduced by the virtually painless injection of wrinkle relaxers into the band to reduce muscle tension.

Elimination of “popply” or dimply chins

Before and After

Wrinkle relaxers can be used effectively to eliminate the appearance of ‘popply’ or dimply chins. For this treatment wrinkle relaxers are injected into the mentalis muscle, which is responsible for the popply, orange peel appearance of the chin. This treatment also reduces the appearance of the horizontal chin crease and reduces the mass of the chin muscle, which can increase with age
